Satellites 91 & 82

Have 9200 system installed, get a good signal on 91 at 78%, but cannot find sat 82 and tells me its wrong satellite. I live in Northern Quebec at Eastmain Quebec. I have set the dish as according to the user guide at 34.0 elevation and skew at 98.5. Is there any suggestions as I don't have access to service technicians to properly find the signal? I have tried many times and getting frustrated now.

One dish two LNBs

Hi All!
I have a Bell Express Vu 20" dish and receivers. The question I have: The 20" dish supports two LNBs. At the end of the dish's arm, a Y-adapter is found which holds both LNBs. I know that this is used to receive BEV 91 LNB is in the center of the dish while the BEV 82 LNB is offset to the left. Rotating the dish (i.e. modifying the skew angle) changes the ...

setting up/ lat & long

Please bare with me as I'm very new with this FTA (Free-to-air). I've been trying to set it up since October, and I am very lost. When I purchased my system it came with a 33" dish and hh90 motor and the receiver came with 28 programmed satellites. My problem is that I have locked on to one satellite, but not sure how to get anymore? My lat and long were given to me for ...

Locating focal point on offset dish?

I'm a Physics teacher and am in possession of two old oval DirecTV dishes (24x18 and 19.5x18 in). Neither has the receiver attached, so I don't quite know where the focal points are.

Is there a convenient way of determining the focal point?  I'm not looking to receive satellite signals, instead, I'm looking to do some sound experiments.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

NIMIQ 1 0 signal on tr 11 Miami

How is it possible for Nimiq 1 (91) to have 0 signal strength on transponders 3,7,9,11,17,21,23,25 in Miami Florida and 100% on almost all of the other 32 transponders?
Also these transponders start acting up in Georgia and get a decent signal only during night time and they "die" at sunrise.

dish pointing 101

Hey all... I am another newbie in the house. I've been reading, searching, reading, searching... and if I've missed the answer to my question(s), I apologize.

So I've figured my location 43.4805N, 80.4994W (a bit exact I imagine) and so I've calculated the azimuth, polarisation etc via your links (thanks). But I have no idea what to do with it all. The physical/practical/layman's application has me confused. I have one dish, 2 LNBs and am ...

Indoor dish installation: fact or myth?

Hello,

I am a newly arrived Canadian researcher in Leipzig, Germany, and I am exploring various possibilities to get English speaking television here, via satellite.

Currently, I am staying at a university residence, and it is unlikely that I will be granted permission to install a dish outside. There is no balcony to speak of, but there is a metal railing to which a dish might be affixed... However, given that I am scheduled to ...

Finding Italian TV on Hotbird at 13 East

hello, need help with some basic stuff. I am trying to get a signal form Hotbird 13 for Italian TV. I am in Surbiton London.

I have a conflict with the tp, the website I visited said that tp 52 11.766 was the one to take but on my menu 11.766 shows up as tp 49? Does anyone know which one is correct?

Also on the LNB there are some degree markings 0-30 left and ...
